The Great British Bake Off may be heading to Channel 4 from the BBC and losing its two fantastic presenters, but here in Gatley we’re simply building on the success of last year’s Gatley Bake Off!
Part of the Gatley Food & Drink Festival, you’re invited to enter this year’s Bake Off on Sunday 9th October.
There are two categories available to enter – under-14s and “everyone else”! – and the competition is open to all as we look to crown the 2016 Gatley Baker of the Year and Gatley Junior Baker of the Year.
All entries must be delivered to St. James’ Church Hall between 9am and 10.30am on Sunday 9th October, along with an entry card detailing name, category entered and dietary information.
The judging will take place from 10.30am with the winners announced between 12.30 and 1pm.
Everyone is invited to come along and view the creations from 11.30, when St. James’ Church Hall will open to the public, selling tea and coffee and giving you the opportunity to purchase a piece of the entries!
Who are the Gatley Bake Off judges?
Good question! This year’s judging panel will be led by esteemed baker John Mather of Mathers Bakery, with other judges to be announced soon!
