Gatley Carrs Conservation Group (GCCG)
The GCCG look after the area known as the Gatley Carrs, a local wildlife area situated behind the Horse & Farrier pub. Members volunteer their time to preserve the beauty of this spot and hold regular events in the area.

The U3A is an organisation which promotes lifelong learning for the retired while still enjoying themselves. U3A has over 180 members and 20 interest groups catering for a wide range of interests from archaeology to walking.

Friends of Scholes Park
The Friends of Scholes Park is a volunteer group of local people who are working with Stockport Council and the community of Gatley to improve and promote the park as great resource for everyone. Our current projects include; developing a community garden, and a family nature trail. In the long term there are plans to develop the children’s play area and the running track.
