GATLEY FESTIVAL - CALL FOR HELP
Stockport Council require a minimum number of volunteers to be able to run the parade, and it's always a challenge to find them.
Stockport Carnival recently folded due in part to lack of volunteers to help, and we want to keep Gatley's going.

Friends of Scholes Park are hosting their first task day in Scholes Park, Friday 21st June between 10am and noon. They are working with a group of Kingsway Students to do a consultation on plans a community 'incredible edible' planting area, planting some fruit trees and wild flowers and doing a litter pick. Anyone is really welcome to join in to get their hands dirty, to offer green fingered advice or simply moral support.

The St James’ Church Summer Fair is on Saturday 8th June from 2pm. There will be something for everyone - tattoos, face painting, lots of games including ‘Beat the Goalie’ and a Fancy Dress Competition at 3pm. Strawberry Cream Teas will be available and there will be a variety of stalls to visit - crafts, cakes, cards, tombola, raffle with prizes kindly donated by local businesses, books and puzzles. Entrance is free, please come and join this popular community event.
